2027 PPSA Scholarship Applications Now Available

The Prickly Pear Sportsmen’s Association (PPSA) is pleased to announce the availability of its 2027 Scholarship Application. This year, PPSA will award two $500 scholarships to successful applicants.

Through this scholarship program, PPSA continues its commitment to supporting education and encouraging the next generation of responsible sportsmen and women.

Who Is Eligible?

Applicants must currently be high school seniors enrolled in an accredited or equivalent high school program and be scheduled to graduate in spring 2027.

Applicants will also provide information about their educational plans, including the college or university they intend to attend in the fall.

Application Requirements

The scholarship application requires several supporting materials, including:

  • A list of extracurricular, volunteer, community, shooting sports, and hobby activities.
  • An original, typed, double-spaced essay of two to three pages describing how the applicant and their family have benefited from the Second Amendment and the Prickly Pear outdoor range.
  • A personal statement explaining why the applicant should receive the scholarship.
  • An official school transcript, or the applicable homeschool documentation described in the packet.
  • Two letters of recommendation from eligible individuals who are not family members.

Applicants must complete all required sections, include supporting documents, and provide a physical signature.

Application Deadline and Submission

All applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 1, 2027.
