DESCRIPTION:Ladies Shoot – June 13\, 2026 (TWO TIME OPTIONS) \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, June 13\, 2026 at the Rim Fire Range for a fun ladies morning at PPSA. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to PPSA members and spouses of members and is limited to 20 participants. \n\n\n\nWhat this event is\n\n\n\nThe Ladies Shoot is a chance to meet\, greet\, and shoot in a relaxed range setting with other women from PPSA. \n\n\n\nThis is not a competition and not an instructional event. SUMMARY:Range Closure: Possible Limited Impacts: Lead Mitigation Work
DESCRIPTION:Lead mitigation work is expected to occur sometime during this week. Some range areas may be affected on certain day(s)\, but no full range closure is currently expected. PPSA will provide more specific information as soon as the vendor and Forest Service coordination details are available. \n\n\n\nUPDATE: \n\n\n\nPPSA has received confirmation that lead mitigation work is scheduled to begin early in the day on Wednesday\, June 10\, 2026. \n\n\n\nThe contractor will move from range to range as the work is completed. Because of this\, certain ranges will be closed at different times throughout the day. Members and guests should expect limited range closures throughout June 10\, and the work may continue into the next couple of days if needed. \n\n\n\nWe hope the work will be completed on June 10\, but please plan ahead and be prepared for possible range impacts if you visit the facility during this time. No impacts before June 10. \n\n\n\nThank you for your patience and cooperation while this important work is completed.

SUMMARY:Vintage Military Fun Match
DESCRIPTION:PPSA members are invited to join our Vintage Military Fun Match\, a free honor-system postal match for as-issued vintage metallic-cartridge military rifles and faithful reproductions. \n\n\n\nEligible rifles must be models first issued between 1863 and 1950. The rifle itself does not have to have been manufactured during that time\, but it must remain in military configuration. Iron sights only. No scopes or sporterized rifles. \n\n\n\nThe match runs from May 1 through June 15\, 2026\, and is limited to the first 50 PPSA members who sign up. Shooters may complete the course of fire anytime during the match window and mail their targets to the match coordinator for scoring. \n\n\n\nCourse of fire:Shooters will fire at a 19-inch bullseye placed at 300 yards. The course consists of 40 rounds total\, fired on two targets: 5 prone\, 5 sitting\, 5 kneeling\, and 5 standing on each target. \n\n\n\nPrizes:First Place: $100 gift cardSecond Place: $75 gift cardThird Place: $50 gift cardAll non-winning participants will also be entered into a drawing for two additional $50 gift cards. \n\n\n\nHow to sign up:Email match coordinator John Vore at johnvore6@gmail.com with your full name\, PPSA member number\, mailing address\, rifle make and caliber\, and date of manufacture if known. The exact date is still being finalized\, but we wanted to get this on everyone’s radar early. \n\n\n\nThis will be a vendor-style celebration with the Capital Sports team out at the range—plus a fun\, community-focused day for members and friends. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect\n\n\n\n\nVendors and booths (gear\, accessories\, and outdoor-related offerings)\n\n\n\nCapital Sports team on-site to celebrate with the PPSA community\n\n\n\nDemos\, giveaways\, and fun range-day energy\n\n\n\nA relaxed event built around safe\, responsible shooting and good company\n\n\n\n\nWho can attend?\n\n\n\nThis is planned as a PPSA community event.
